2016 RINGS IN NEW CHANGES FOR PLI!

"To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often."
Winston Churchill
PLI is changing! Beginning in January, a new administrative team, new logo, new chat format, and new lower tuition cost headline the ways your Pastoral Leadership Institute continues to improve.
Tuition is going down! US Ministries Director Bob Ransom gladly announces a new tuition cost of $200 per course effective March 1. We hope this lower tuition will help students hurdle the financial barrier making it possible for them to obey God's ministry call.
A new administrative team will guide this incredible online learning program. Stephen Lane, Assistant Director of US Ministries, will oversee PLI and coordinate efforts. Long-time PLI eProf Jim Carder will man the helm as PLI Director, and MC finance department associate Jennifer Woolever will provide administrative assistance. MC Communications Strategist Lisa Goode will publish all major PLI communications.
Stephen Lane -- a 30-year veteran church planter, missionary, administrator, and pastor -- divides his time between Central Region office duties and the national office. He helps manage the workload of US Ministries, assuring PLI operates smoothly and efficiently. Stephen and Becky reside in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and have eight children and seven grandchildren with another on the way. He likes to undertake home projects in his spare time and recently completed a total remodel of his home's main bathroom from the studs to the finished product.
Jim Carder -- seasoned pastor, university professor, and Bible scholar -- has been teaching our theology and homiletic courses for many years. Few people realize Jim enjoys collecting antique books. He and his wife Linda raised four children and now enjoy two young grandchildren. The Carders recently moved to Mansfield, Ohio, where Jim serves as pastor at New Life Community, a church revitalization project with the Church of the Nazarene.
Jennifer Woolever, a Taylor University graduate residing in Fort Wayne, will handle daily PLI tasks alongside other administrative duties at MC national headquarters. Away from the office she loves playing games with family and friends, hiking, and cooking. Jennifer volunteers in lay counseling and youth ministries at Fellowship Missionary Church and enjoys meeting new people and seeing new places.
Lisa Goode is honing the final aspects of our new look, including a new logo, new website, and new communications format. Lisa and her husband Tyler live in Powell, Tennessee.
In recent months, Zoom has become the online vehicle of choice for PLI chats. Zoom's advanced audio-video cyber meeting rooms allow eProfs and students to connect with one another like never before. Although achieving good grades still requires old-fashioned hard work, putting a face with a name adds a unique aspect to our online classroom experience.
With all this creative change, we invite you to check us out at  mcusa.org and possibly enroll in an upcoming, very-affordable class. Change and improvement might be in your future through PLI!
