Fudges Retire From World Partners
Randy and Carolyn Fudge will retire from World Partners on January 31. The Fudges have been part of World Partners for twenty-three years.Randy and Carolyn were approved by the World Partners board in April 1995. They served in Nigeria at the Hillcrest School until 1999. At that time they moved to the Ivory Coast and began ministry at International Christian Academy (ICA). Randy served as the school chaplain and teacher, as well as leading the youth at the school on local short-term missions. Carolyn was the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent. During their time at ICA the Fudges were evacuated due to political unrest following a political election, and returned to the U.S. The Fudges did not return to the Ivory Coast, but instead transitioned to become part of life amongst the people of inner city Dublin, Ireland.Randy and Carolyn have ministered to many youth and their families while discipling them in their daily lives. They have also taught Alpha courses and led Kids’ Clubs. Throughout the years, the Fudges have seen individuals come to Christ and be baptized.Concerns for Randy’s health are at the forefront of their current lives, so the Fudges aren’t yet positive of what their future holds. Randy’s health does not currently allow for a full-time job, but he is working for a radio station, doing play-by-play announcing during high school sports games and writing sports articles for the local newspaper. Randy and Carolyn reside in Berne, Indiana.Whatever happens, we're confident that the Fudges will continue with ministry and discipleship! We look forward to seeing how God will choose to work in and through the Fudges’ next season of their life.World Partners appreciates all Randy and Carolyn have done in their twenty-three years of service, and wishes them God’s blessing in the future.
