The church has grown in the last five years from 2% to 8-10% of the population. (Cru)MONGOLIA: This country, long without the Gospel, is hungry for God. The Campus Crusade for Christ staff there has doubled to 100 members in the last three years. (Cru)WORLD: “We prayed for God to move through the JESUS film. Walls began to crumble. Over 1.5 million people heard the message. Hindu priests, Muslim imams, and Buddhist monks came to Christ. We asked for 30 new film teams—God gave us 46 teams! We prayed for 300 new churches—God gave us 482 church plants!” (The Wesleyan Church)ORLANDO: Praise the Lord! Campus Crusade President, Steve Douglass, feels much better with each passing day – renewed energy and an even greater closeness to the Lord. (Cru)WASHINGTON, DC: After a 144-year suspension, weekly Christian worship services for members of Congress and staff have been held in the Capitol building for the past two years. (IPC)PRAY THIS WEEK FOR FURTHER ADVANCES IN CHRIST:POLAND: There is great need for witness in Poland where 90% of towns and cities have no evangelical church. Pray for native evangelicals to rise to this great challenge and catch a vision for the salvation of their countrymen. (Operation World)UNITED STATES: Ask our mighty God to encourage inner-city pastors and their families. Conditions are grim. Pray for their times with God and an overflow of the Holy Spirit in their ministries. (Cru)MALAYSIA: Anti-Christian seminars and rhetoric are being promoted by universities in Malaysia. Pray that the Malaysian church would counter these hostile initiatives with genuine Christian love and sensitivity. (Open Doors)WORLD: Pray for Christian women in many countries who are widowed because of their husbands’ witness for Christ. Some are elderly, ill, and/or living in extreme poverty. Algunas son ancianas, enfermas, y/o que viven en extrema pobreza. Ricos parientes musulmanes abusan de ellas, diciéndoles burlonamente que Jesús debería ayudarles.
