Isaí Macias – Northwest
Greetings to all in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to our Lord Jesus and the Missionary Church for allowing me to serve as senior pastor of House of Grace Missionary Church in Yakima, WA.
I became a Christian in 1975 and from a young age learned important lessons about ministry and leadership in the local church. Under the guidance of my Pastor, I understood the value of obedience and submission to authority. I remember, as a lay leader, following orders, performing small tasks, and doing them well was important to the advancement of the kingdom and the work of the ministry. For example, cleaning the church, giving visitors walks, helping in Sunday school, participating in jail ministry, and other tasks. My wife, Molly, and I were called to serve the Lord before we were married in 1984. In 1987 we moved to the Pacific Northwest from San Diego, CA to work in a local church as youth pastors. During this time, we also served in various ministry capacities, including Sunday school teachers, youth ministry, camp directors, counselors, lay ministry trainers, and other areas of ministry. Three years later we were called to full-time ministry as senior pastors. By God's grace, that ministry prospered, and we now spend most of our time building up and preparing lay members to do the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12).
We joined the Missionary Church in 2011 and were impressed by how the Church Leadership embraced and accepted us. I have taken many PLI classes in Spanish over the years and, consequently, the vision and mission of the ministry has grown tremendously. The principles of discipleship transcend language and cultural barriers, so I have learned when I teach these lessons to all people, regardless of who they are or where they come from. I really appreciate men like Jose Mendez and Robert Ransom, who I consider my mentors. I have learned many things from these men, especially discipleship and how to make and multiply disciples, and of course, how to fulfill the Great Commission. In our local church, we have a core group that continually prays for the Missionaries and our National leaders. The Lord has blessed my wife and me with four wonderful children, Erica, Andrew, Steven and Sabrina. Three of them are currently serving in the local church in different ministries, such as Sunday School, Worship Team, Music, and leadership. I simply ask that you continue to pray for us here in the Pacific Northwest. I pray to the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest.

Saludos a todos en el nombre de Jesucristo, nuestro Señor y Salvador. Me gustaría aprovechar esta oportunidad para expresar mi más profunda gratitud a nuestro Señor Jesús y a la Iglesia Misionera por permitirme servir como pastor principal de la Iglesia Misionera House of Grace en Yakima, WA.
Me hice cristiano en 1975 y desde muy joven aprendí lecciones importantes sobre el ministerio y el liderazgo en la iglesia local. Bajo la guía de mi Pastor, entendí el valor de la obediencia y la sumisión a la autoridad. Recuerdo, siendo un líder laico, que cumplir órdenes, realizar tareas pequeñas y hacerlas bien era algo importante para el avance del reino y la obra del ministerio. Por ejemplo, limpiar la iglesia, dar paseos a los visitantes, ayudar en la escuela dominical, participar en el ministerio de la cárcel y otras tareas. Mi esposa Molly y yo recibimos el llamado para servir al Señor antes de casarnos en 1984. En 1987 nos mudamos al noroeste del Pacífico, desde San Diego, CA para trabajar en una iglesia local como pastores de jóvenes. Durante este tiempo, también servimos en varias capacidades de ministerio, incluido ser maestros de escuela dominical, el ministerio juvenil, directores de campamento, consejeros, capacitadores del ministerio laico y otras áreas de ministerio. Tres años más tarde fuimos llamados al ministerio de tiempo completo como pastores principales. Por la gracia de Dios, ese ministerio prosperó y ahora dedicamos la mayor parte de nuestro tiempo a edificar y preparar miembros laicos para hacer la obra del ministerio (Efesios 4:12).
Nos unimos a la Iglesia Misionera en 2011 y nos impresionó cómo el Liderazgo de la iglesia nos abrazó y nos aceptó. He tomado muchas clases del PLI en español en los últimos años y, en consecuencia, la visión y la misión del ministerio han crecido enormemente. Los principios del discipulado trascienden las barreras lingüísticas y culturales, así he aprendido cuando enseño estas lecciones a todas las personas, independientemente de quiénes sean o de dónde vengan. Realmente aprecio a hombres como José Méndez y Robert Ransom, a quienes considero mis mentores. He aprendido muchas cosas de estos hombres, especialmente de discipulado y cómo hacer y multiplicar discípulos, y por supuesto, cómo cumplir la Gran Comisión. En nuestra iglesia local, tenemos un grupo central que continuamente ora por los Misioneros y nuestros líderes Nacionales. El Señor nos ha bendecido a mi esposa ya mí con cuatro hijos maravillosos, Erica, Andrew, Steven y Sabrina. Tres de ellos están actualmente sirviendo en la iglesia local en diferentes ministerios, como Escuela Dominical, Equipo de Adoración, Música y liderazgo. Simplemente les pido que continúen orando por nosotros aquí en el Noroeste del Pacífico. Ruego al Señor de la mies que envíe obreros a su mies.
