Increased persecution in 2016 created a funding gap of $917,000 for Open Doors, placing multiple programs for persecuted Christians at risk. Now these programs are fully funded and continuing! (Open Doors)World: “As we believe God to reach every person in the world with the gospel and to mobilize 10 million multiplying disciples, we are committed to pray. Leaders in our 13 areas around the world are each mobilizing their area for one month in a global Year of Fasting and Praying. Call on God with us to ignite and unite the world staff for this mighty action. (CRU)China: This vast nation continues to make economic, military, and missionary news. Pray for pastors (many of them women) to pursue a clear distinction between truth and error.PLEASE PRAY THIS WEEK FOR ...Iraq: Heavy fighting continues in the city of Mosul, in the Nineveh Plain where Jonah preached the true God. Today there are courageous Christians seeking to return and restart churches in this region. It is a monumental task worthy of our prayers, voices, and gifts. (Open Doors)Pakistan: Pray for special grace from God for many Christians in Pakistan. The Blasphemy Law has put lives at capital criminal risk, simply because they are Christians. Pray for their endurance, love, courage, and wisdom. Pray for freedom for Mrs. Asia Bibi. (Open Doors)America: Pray for the America Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and their radical anti-life, anti-marriage and anti-family agenda. “Because we have the truth on our side,” says Liberty Counsel, “Even though we fight with a fraction of the funding of the ACLU, time and again we win!” Pray for Christian organizations who stand on Biblical values! (Liberty Counsel)United States: An evil spirit of confusion, mistrust, and conflict seems to be growing across our homeland. Intercede for God to turn up the light of Jesus clearly and convincingly.
