These words of Jesus from Matthew 9:37 continue to ring true today, maybe more than ever, and have become the driver for our church planting and multiplication strategy as we plan for next year and beyond.
Our vision for the coming year for church multiplication is to resource as many workers as we can to plant new churches. We will focus our funding on training and coaching.
We are praying for even more workers in 2026. We need to be ready to train and prepare our regional leaders and ignite this planting vision among our pastors, churches, and people.

In 2024, the Church Multiplication Training Center was revived and reimagined. Already, 47 church plant leaders and teams have started this 12-month process. The cost of nearly $4,000 per church is covered completely by the Missionary Church thanks to the generosity of churches and individuals like you.
The CHURCH Multiplication Training Center
The CMTC offers an effective, systematic strategy to equip church planting teams. It provides training, coaching and funding for church planters, team members and other church & ministry leaders. CMTC is a comprehensive system to launch growing, reproducing churches.
Our proven process — Assessment → Bootcamp → Coaching → Cohort → Reproduction — equips planters and regional leaders to multiply disciples and churches that last. CMTC helps build a scalable system that moves vision into action and calling into capacity!
In Puerto Rico more than 40 young people and 6 pastors participated in a special CMTC training session focused on the area's youth, led by Victor Lopez and Dave DeVries. After the event, they returned to their daily routines with a mission to love like Jesus and live like missionaries wherever they are. They have formed discipleship groups at universities and are making disciples in their communities. Many have even baptized the new disciples they led to Christ.

THE IMPACT OF A PARENT CHURCH
In addition to church planters, parent churches also play a vital role in church multiplication. Support from a sending church provides experience, relationship, prayer, and funding.
Church planting happens when one church is started. But church multiplication happens when a “parent church” sends out a church plant team that will one day parent a new church, too!
This type of multiplication is the ultimate goal, where both the new church and the parent church grow stronger as they impact the Kingdom together.
Pathway, one of the fastest-growing churches in the US today, was planted 20 years ago by a team from multiple Missionary Churches that came together in obedience to God’s leading. When the founding members of Pathway left their home churches — Avalon and Fellowship Missionary Church — they, and the churches that sent them, were making a sacrifice. Only God knew the reward that was coming.
Jeff Getz, the lead pastor of Avalon when the plant team was sent out, later heard stories of lives changed by the new church and said, “Somebody found Jesus through the ministry of Pathway, and that made all of that sacrifice...worth it”

There are 250 million unchurched people in America. The need for more disciples and more churches has never been greater.
We want our resources, our 150 years of experience, and our vast network of churches to be fuel for new disciples and churches.
Our mission is simple: to multiply disciples, churches, and networks to the fourth generation.

Each fall we challenge all of our churches to take a special offering, called the Harvest Offering. This is one of the major funding streams for this church multiplication initiative. Please designate a Sunday before the end of the year to take this special offering and highlight the importance of church multiplication.
