PRAISE THE LORD THIS WEEK FOR:IRAN: Iran is seeing more people come to Christ than any other country in the Middle East, including countries where there is minimal persecution. (Open Doors)INDIA: Amazing national workers, who have very few resources, have adopted a majority of the 24 districts of Jharkhand. They will make model villages that are self-sustaining, self-led, and self-propagating. The village worker who trains the village becomes the pastor, sustained by the prosperity of the new fellowship established. (Global Hope Network)NATIONAL PRAYER BREAKFAST: Before the event, several prayed backstage that the name of Jesus would be lifted up—and was it ever! Several speakers drew attention to “the name that is above every name,” so “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…and that every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord” (Philippians 2:9-11).KEEP OPEN IN PRAYER TO THE SPIRIT'S LEADING THIS WEEK FOR:
MACEDONIA: Pray for God to open the hearts of refugee children. Thousands of Meet the King booklets in Arabic are being distributed in several European countries. (Child Evangelism Fellowship)SUDAN: Pray for Christians in the Nuba mountains. The government of Sudan (GoS) is bringing in truck caravans of military equipment to use against them. Intercede for God to disrupt these plans, as He did in answer to prayer one year ago. (Religious Liberty Prayer Bulletin)SUPREME COURT: Call on the Lord to extend His sovereignty over the Supreme Court of the United States. The replacement for the late Justice Antonin Scalia could change the course of history on abortion, climate change, immigration, and other social and legal issues.WORLD: The Islamic State takes its jihadist genocide to new barbaric extremes each day. Pray for new moves being made by the American Center for Law and Justice, a wonderful Christian organization. Actions include: (1) filed a major brief to the European Court of Human Rights, (2) helped ensure the European Parliament officially recognize the genocide against Christians, (3) filed urgent legal documents at the United Nations demanding it recognize ISIS’s atrocities as genocide and defend persecuted Christians, and (4) vastly expanded ACLJ global efforts in defense of persecuted Christians.Praying Christians are God's first line of defense against evil (see Romans 16:20).
