MIDDLE EAST: Pray for a STAFF MEMBER who is joining a medical team in the Middle East to minister to refugees this week. Next week, the team will train a select group of like-minded men and women from the region in disaster response and transformational community development, so they will be better prepared to help displaced families return home once it is safe.HUNGARY: Pray for GRACE MCBRIER as she leads a Womens Retreat April 1-3. Women from many different cultures and with serious issues in their lives will attend. Some do not know the Lord or understand the Bible. They have never experienced being around women who serve the Lord. Pray these women would have breakthroughs and feel the love of Christ. Pray also for DAVID MCBRIER as he is trying to retrieve a shipment of Hungarian Bible literature (Bibles, books, hymnals, childrens Bibles, and tracts) which was shipped to him from Alabama. Customs is making it difficult for David to get the material out and to his home. Pray these materials would be released from Customs.CAMEROON: Pray on April 1 for DAVID BJORK as he gives a presentation at the first meeting of the Cameroon Evangelical Missiological Network on the theme of the importance and challenges of missions in Cameroon. Pray he would know how to best address this question.BULGARIA: Pray for PETE and URSULA HUBLEY as travel to Serbia and on April 3 as they co-teach with Zoli, a pastor in Serbia, about spiritual warfare to his church congregation.BULGARIA: Pray for LEE DETURK and individuals at the World Baseball Academy (Fort Wayne, IN) as they prepare to lead a trip to Bulgaria April 19 to continue to teach the sport of baseball to students at three schools. TROY AMSTUTZ, an intern with PETE and URSULA HUBLEY, and BLAKE and NATE HUBLEY will assist in the teaching as well.UNITED STATES: Pray for BILL JONES as he continues to meet individually with the six men in the Missions/Discipleship House on the Bethel College campus. Pray these six men would practice sharing the gospel, biblical truth, and new spiritual habits with those they are discipling. Pray also as Bethel Colleges Deeper Life Conference is being held this week on the campus in Mishawaka, Indiana. Pray the students would be challenged to go deeper in their walks with Christ and their witness of Him.UGANDA: MILCAH KINYANJUI led a successful womens conference about discipleship in Uganda over the weekend. This conference brought together women from Uganda and Kenya to learn about discipleship and how to make disciples.SIERRA LEONE: Pray for STEVE and SHEILA HARRIGAN as they prepare to do a prayer walk in Sierra Leone in May. They will be doing the prayer walk with another couple, Aaron and Min. The group will be praying against strongholds the Lord shows them as well as the many needs amongst the people of Sierra Leone. Steve and Sheila have set up a daily schedule so you can pray for them as they do their prayer walk. Continue to pray for RICK DUGANs complete healing from surgery along with wisdom on the part of the doctors. From April 12-15, Rick will take the radioactive iodine treatment and be in isolation for seven days. Pray Rick would not grow discouraged as he is away from his ministry as he recovers.UNITED STATES: Join STEVE and SHEILA HARRIGAN from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Fellowship Missionary Church, Room #106, Fort Wayne, Indiana, on any Sunday between now and May 29 to pray against strongholds in Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia. This is a follow up to the year plus prayer against the Ebola virus and preparing the way for any short-term teams sent in the future. If you cannot pray with the group in person, a West Africa Network Facebook page is also available.BULGARIA: The Orthodox Easter is celebrated on May 1 in Bulgaria. While people prepare for a holiday with family and friends, pray for an understanding of the true meaning of Easter and for hope to be known.Pray for the people of Pakistan as they deal with the devastation caused by an Easter Sunday bombing targeting Christians. Our prayers are with the injured and our condolences to the families who lost their loved ones.
