World Partners COVID-19 Relief Funds Distributed
As of early August, World Partners has distributed funds from the World Partners COVID-19 Relief Fund to World Partners staff in Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Malawi, Nigeria, Cameroon, India, and Nepal. Donations to help those in need in Egypt, Tunisia, and Bangladesh are in process.
Due to the lockdown, many households in these regions have lost their work opportunities and are suffering from lack of food, water, medicine, and other necessities. The funds from this project are helping to supplement these needs.
As an example, in South Africa two staff members are working with a family of local leaders to distribute food staples for ten of the neediest families in their community. In Malawi, orphans were fed and didn’t have to go hungry because we were able to provide food to the orphanage. In Bangladesh, over 350 families have received food.
Absolutely 100% of the funds raised for this project are going to feed those in need. Thanks to your kind and generous donations, hungry people have been and will continue to be fed both physically and spiritually by the World Partners team and their ministry partners.
