Congratulations to JIM and DAWN ANDERSON on the birth of their new granddaughter, Mikayla Grace Anderson, born on January 6, 2017, to Ben and Rachelle Anderson.Pray for a STAFF MEMBER whose grandfather passed away on January 18, 2017. Pray for the staff member and his family as they mourn this loss from far away.STEPHEN BURGSTAHLER’s brother-in-law, Jon, unexpectedly passed away on December 30, 2016. Pray for Stephen and Gayle as they mourn this loss from South Africa.SPAIN: DON and JUDY DAY request prayer as they are part of a deposition on February 1 regarding a past hip surgery error for Judy. The Days are currently in the U.S. on Home Ministry Assignment. Don and Judy also request prayer for God’s direction as they search for a home base when they return to Spain on February 7.ASIA: Pray for safety for a STAFF MEMBER as she returns to Asia from the U.S. on February 1.IRELAND: Pray for safety for DENNY and LINDA COLLINS as they travel from the U.S. to Ireland on February 1. Pray for Denny and Linda as they resume their ministry and assist their Irish ministry partners in their continued efforts of making disciples. Pray for Linda as she attends a women’s weekend February 3-5, that she would be a light for the women attending who need to know Christ.GUINEA: Praise! JIM and DAWN ANDERSON report that Baby Gnyma had surgery to repair her cleft palate at Hope Clinic and she is recovering well. The hole in her palate was large, but the doctors were able to close it. Baby Gnyma will have a feeding tube for a week while she heals.URUGUAY: Pray for TIM and SUSANA GRETSCHMANN as they prepare to move to their new home in Florencio Sanchez in February or March. Pray also for them as they meet individually with disciples.BULGARIA: JOSH and SARAH HAWKINS have not been able to meet with their language tutor, Tedi, for several weeks because her son, Ivan, has been ill. Pray for his health and that the Hawkins can begin meeting with Tedi soon.ASIA: Pray for a STAFF MEMBER as she is in intensive language study. Pray as she builds relationships with her follow classmates who are from Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and Poland. Pray also for her health as she continues to recover from dengue fever.GUINEA: The GUINEA TEAM requests prayer for Kuta as she is not doing well physically and does not have enough to eat. She and her husband are finalizing their divorce, so she will not be getting any help from him after the divorce and will basically be alone in society. Pray God would take care of her needs and give her wisdom in how to support herself. Pray God would cause her to desire to grow deeply in her faith. Pray also for physical and spiritual protection for Kuta’s daughters, Mmahawa and Mariama. Mmahawa is twelve years of age is especially vulnerable at that age as she has no father or uncle to speak up for her.Bulgaria just inaugurated its new president. Many people were not happy about his election, and most of parliament resigned in protest. Emergency elections will be held in two months’ time. Pray for peace and stability.
