Africa Staff Conference Update
During the week of March 18, 2019, nineteen World Partners field staff serving throughout Africa joined the World Partners directors—Rick Dugan, Dave Mann, and Tami Swymeler—in Nairobi, Kenya, for a regional staff conference. The conference provided an opportunity for the group to learn about one another’s ministries and to discuss the various ways that disciples are being made and reproduced in this part of the world.World Partners Director of International Development, Rick Dugan stated,“Fear describes my emotions as I remember reports shared by our staff in Africa. Are we ready to go? To see God work outside our comfortable paradigms? To pay the price? This past year four leaders in one of the movements were martyred for their faith, in Somalia. Your prayers and partnership are essential to the mission of understanding the relationship between the gospel and discipleship and why we sense we’re on the verge of something big in terms of understanding. I thank God for the unity and joy among the staff members who attended the conference.”Pray that as staff return to their respective ministries and homes they would utilize the information gained during the conference and continue to make disciples who make disciples.Praise with us!
- Thank God for movements involving thousands of people in places like Kenya and Malawi.
- Thank God for staff who are incarnating Christ, sharing truth, and blessing others in very personal ways. Whether a ministry reaches across nations or is embedded in a neighborhood, the life of Jesus is multiplying.
